Position Overview:

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Trainee Transport Logistics Operations Manager to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start their career in logistics and transport management. No prior experience is required as comprehensive training will be provided. Must have full clean UK driving licence.

Key Responsibilities:

Pricing Jobs: Learn to accurately price transport jobs to ensure competitive and profitable operations.

Invoicing: Manage the invoicing process to ensure timely and accurate billing.

Paperwork: Handle essential paperwork related to transport logistics, ensuring compliance and efficiency.

Timesheets: Monitor and manage timesheets for drivers and other operational staff.

Driving: Involvement in driving tasks, including learning to tow with 4x4s, various dedicated van tasks, opportunities for HGV and even Hiab training.

Multi-Service Delivery Driver

Location: Outskirts of Exeter

Salary: From £21,000.00 per year

Hours: Average of 35 hours a week.

Reports To: Operations Manager

Employment Type: Full-time, Contract

Weekend availability

Subsistence: Tax-free nights-away subsistence of £30.00

 

Job Overview:

As a Multi-Service Delivery Driver at LCS Transport, you will be responsible for executing a variety of transportation and delivery services, ranging from dedicated European deliveries to specialist towing movements. Our services cover a wide array of needs, and your role will be essential in ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods. This position offers a competitive salary, an average of 40 hours per week, and additional benefits such as tax-free subsistence for nights away.

Key Responsibilities:

Dedicated Van Shipments (UK and Europe):

Transport goods using our fleet of dedicated vans across the UK and Europe.

Ensure timely and secure delivery of shipments.

Maintain accurate logs and records of deliveries.

Same-Day UK Shipments:

Handle urgent same-day delivery requests within the UK.

Coordinate with dispatch to optimise delivery routes and schedules.

Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries.

Specialist Towing Movements (UK):

Operate our fleet of Land Rover Discoveries for specialist towing tasks.

Safely tow and transport a variety of vehicles and equipment.

Follow all safety protocols and regulations for towing movements.

Experience:

Previous experience in delivery driving, logistics, or a related field.

Experience with towing vehicles is highly desirable.

Skills:

Strong time management and organisational skills.

Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.

Good communication and customer service skills.

Licenses and Certifications:

Valid UK driving license.

Additional certifications for towing and handling specialist equipment are a plus.

Additional Information:

Competitive Salary: Based on experience.

Hours: Average of 40 hours per week.

Availability: Must be available to work Monday to Friday and some weekends as needed.
